The Farnsworth House is an icon of 20th century modern architecture has been designed and built by architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe is located at River Road, south of the city of Plano, Illinois, United States of America.
The steel and glass house was commissioned by Dr. Edith Farnsworth, a prominent Chicago-based kidney specialist, as a place where you could practice her hobby, playing the violin, translating poetry, and enjoying nature. The architect, Mies van der Rohe created for her a 1,500-square-foot house, which is widely recognized as a masterpiece of modernist architecture icon.
